Ather 450S and 450X: Discounts explained

Ather is offering a maximum discount package of Rs 24,000 on the two electric scooters in its catalogue. This includes a cash discount of up to Rs 5,000 and corporate benefits worth Rs 1,500. The corporate benefits are available for employees of selected companies only. Furthermore, the tech startup is also offering low-interest cash savings of Rs 12,000 on EMI plans for the two scooters. A cashback offer of Rs 10,000 is also available on credit card payments made via selected banks. On top of that, Ather is also offering an extended warranty for the battery pack. This extended package is worth Rs 7,000. It bumps up the warranty on the battery pack from 3 years/30,000 km to 5 years/60,000 km.

The 450X is powered by a 3.7kWh battery that offers a driving range of 146km. This battery pack can be charged from 0-80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes. The electric scooter can reach a top speed of 90kmph, going from 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds. It gets a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with Google Maps integration. There are 6 colour options on offer – Cosmic Black, Still White, Salt Green, Space Grey, True Red, and Lunar Grey.

The affordable Ather 450S matches the top speed of the 450X. The key difference lies in its driving range, as the 2.9kWh battery pack can power the scooter for 115km. Cosmetically, the two scooters look alike. Ather 450S gets turn-by-turn navigation instead of Google Maps support. It takes 6 hours and 36 minutes to fully charge its battery pack. Colour options for Ather 450S are also limited, with only 4 paint shades on offer – Cosmic Black, Still White, Salt Green, and Space Grey.
