Mahindra BE 6 ‘Batman Edition’ reintroduced in India, booking window opens next week

The Batman Edition of the Mahindra BE 6 was first launched in India in August 2025. Initially, its production was limited to 300 units. However, due to overwhelming demand, the automaker increased the number of units to 999. It took Mahindra just 135 seconds to sell out all the available units of the special edition electric SUV. With the hype around the Batman Edition still very much alive, Mahindra has announced that it will accept bookings again for just one day – March 6. No production limit has been set this time. The special edition is priced at Rs 28.49 lakh.

Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition: Price and booking process

The booking window for the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition will open again on March 6 at 11 am and close at the end of the day. The automaker will honour all the bookings received in this window. For a seamless booking process, buyers can pre-set their preferences on Mahindra’s website right now. The delivery rollout will commence on April 10. The bookings referred by existing Batman Edition owners will receive priority delivery.

The Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three trim of the Mahindra BE 6. Its aesthetics are inspired by Christopher Nolan’s Batman Trilogy. The electric SUV gets a custom Satin Black paint shade. Its body claddings are finished in gloss black, and the front doors have custom Batman decals. The brake callipers and suspensions bring a contrasting gold highlight to the all-black exterior. The back of the SUV gets ‘BE 6 x The Dark Knight’ badging, while the rear door cladding gets the ‘Batman Edition’ signature sticker. The Bat emblem is present on the hub caps, front quarter panels, rear bumper, infinity roof, windows, and rear windshield. This emblem is projected by the carpet lamps as well.

Inside, the Batman Edition flaunts a brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition plaque on its dashboard. The driver’s cockpit is surrounded by a brushed gold halo and is equipped with a charcoal leather instrument panel. The steering wheel, Electronic Parking Brake, in-touch controller, and key fob have gold accents. The seats, ‘boost’ button, and interior labels are embossed with the Bat emblem. The infotainment display has a special welcome animation. To top it off, the EV is loaded with special Batman-inspired engine sounds.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Batman Edition. It generates a maximum power output of 286hp and 380Nm. The 79kWh battery pack can go up to 682km on a single charge, as claimed by ARAI. It can be charged with 7.2kW or 11kW home AC adapters.

Final Thoughts

As mentioned earlier, Mahindra will begin the delivery rollout of the Batman Edition on April 10. As of now, the automaker does not have any plans to bring back the special edition model after this round of bookings. The BE 6 rivals the Hyundai Creta Electric, Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella EV, and Maruti Suzuki e Vitara in India.
