2023 Honda Unicorn launched in India at Rs 1.10 lakh

HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) has launched the new 2023 Honda Unicorn in India at the price of Rs 1.10 lakh. The Unicorn is now OBD-2 compliant and comes in a single variant. It also gets a minor price bump of Rs 4,082. The previous version of the Unicorn was priced at Rs 1,05,719.

2023 Honda Unicorn: What’s on offer?

Apart from being OBD-2 compliant, Honda Unicorn also gets a special warranty package. The 2023 Unicorn gets a 3-year warranty as standard with the option to extend it to 10 years. Buyers can pay a premium amount to get an extended 7-year period on the motorcycle. The overall design of the motorcycle remains the same.

Powering the 2023 Honda Unicorn is a 162cc air-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that produces a maximum power output of 12.9hp at 7,500rpm and 14Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The motorbike weighs 140kg with a full 13-litre fuel tank. The seat reaches a height of 715mm. 

Honda Unicorn gets a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a hydraulic mono-shock at the rear. It also gets 240mm disc brakes for the front wheel and a 130mm drum unit for the rear wheel. The Unicorn also gets a single-channel ABS. The motorbike rests on 18-inch wheels. Both tyres on the Unicorn are tubeless. The front tyre measures 80/100 while the rear one measures 100/90.

Conclusion

The 2023 Hyundai Unicorn is available in four colour options – Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Mat Axis Gray Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue. It rivals the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 150, TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, and Bajaj Pulsar N150. In other news, Honda also updated the SP125, Activa 125, and Dio to meet the new emission norms.
