In the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) test, the Ciaz scored 20.86 points out of a possible 34. Upon frontal collision, the car showed good protection to the driver’s head and neck. The driver’s chest and knees were protected marginally. The protection offered to the tibia was marginal to adequate. Meanwhile, the feet showed poor protection. The protection offered to the passenger’s head, neck, knees, and tibia was good, and the chest showed adequate protection. Upon side impact, the head and pelvis of the driver showed good protection, but the chest was poorly protected. The side pole impact test was not performed due to the unavailability of side head protection, even as an optional feature.

The child seats were installed rearward with the help of ISOFIX anchorages and support legs. They were able to prevent head exposure, offering full head protection. Upon side impact, both CRSs offered full protection.

This engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The mileage on offer is 20.65kmpl for manual variants and 20.04kmpl for automatic variants.
