Hyundai Venue N Line launched at Rs 12.16 lakh

The much-awaited Hyundai Venue N Line is finally here and has been launched in India at an initial price of Rs 12.16 lakh. The Hyundai Venue underwent a facelift back in July, and the N Line will add exclusive features and upgrades to it. Available in two variants – N6 and N8 – the N Line will sit on top of the Hyundai Venue lineup. Bookings for the Hyundai Venue N Line had been opened last month at a token amount of Rs 21,000. Hyundai Venue N Line: Everything you need to know

The most significant upgrades in the Venue N Line come in the form of cosmetics, giving the compact SUV a more sporty look. Similar to the i20 N Line, Venue also receives the ‘N Line’ branding on the fender, grille, and tailgate. The signature red accents of the N Line are present at the bottom of the front and rear bumpers, roof rails, and brake callipers. On top of that, the N Line gets redesigned alloy wheels and a dual-tip exhaust.

The interior look has been retained from the standard lineup for the most part, but the Venue N Line has distinguishing features in the form of an all-black theme marked with N Line branding and red highlights. A three-spoke steering wheel, similar to the i20 N Line, finds its way to the driver’s unit.

Talking about features, the N8 trim gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with connected car tech. It also gets a digital instrument cluster, a powered driver’s seat, voice commands, ambient lighting, and a dashcam with a dual camera. There are some standard safety features available for both variants: Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), brake assist, and hill start assist. The only distinguishing factor in safety features is the number of airbags on offer, with N6 getting dual airbags while the N8 is fully equipped with six airbags.

Mechanically, the Hyundai Venue N Line offers the same engine as the rest of the lineup. This 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine can generate a maximum power of 118bhp and 172Nm peak torque. It will be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters. Unlike the i20 N Line, there is no iMT option for Venue N Line, but buyers will be happy to know that the Venue N Line comes with disc brakes on all four wheels.

Starting at Rs 12.16 lakh, the N6 trim costs Rs 1.19 lakh more than its S(O) counterpart. The N8 trim will fetch Rs 13.15 lakh, which is Rs 58,000 more than the top-end SX(O) variant. Here is the detailed price list.

The Hyundai Venue N Line will be offered in two monotone colour options – Shadow Grey and Polar White, and three dual-tone colour options – Thunder Blue with Phantom Black roof, Polar White with Phantom Black roof, and Shadow Grey with Phantom Black roof. The Hyundai Venue N Line competes in the heavily contested midsize SUV market with Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza as its direct rivals.
