Tata Motors has added a CNG powertrain to the Nexon SUV’s lineup in India. Prices for the Tata Nexon CNG start at Rs 8.99 lakh and go up to Rs 14.59 lakh. The CNG SUV is available in 8 variants, starting from Smart. It gets a dual-cylinder setup like other Tata CNG offerings. This setup increases the boot space by a considerable factor.

The 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine on the Tata Nexon CNG generates a maximum power output of 100hp and 170Nm of torque. The petrol model puts out 120hp. The CNG engine can only be mated with a manual transmission. However, Tata may add an iMT gearbox down the line, as it did with the Tiago and Tigor CNGs. The Nexon CNG offers a mileage of 24 km/kg. Its fuel tank has a capacity of 60 litres. The boot space capacity is 321 litres.
In terms of features, the Tata Nexon CNG is equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, leatherette ventilated seats, a 4-speaker system, wireless charging, and more. CNG-specific safety features on the SUV include Leak Detection, a Fire Protection Device, Thermal Incident Protection, Rear Impact Protection, and more. It also gets six airbags, ESP, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, auto-dimming IVRM, and more.
