Tata Avinya EV Concept Unveiled: A New Paradigm Of Innovation

To head the globe towards an utterly electrifying future of premium mobility, Tata Motors is making sure that no stone is left unturned. It pulled up the curtains today from its all-new Avinya Concept EV, coming right after its Concept Curvv Electric SUV coupe, released on April 6th. The name Avinya has been derived from the Sanskrit language and means innovation. The Avinya Concept is based on the GEN 3 architecture and comes with new-age technology, software and Artificial Intelligence that delivers premium comfort and tranquillity during transit. The Avinya Concept EV will be introduced to the market by 2025.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons and Tata Motors said, “While making the AVINYA Concept a reality, the central idea was to offer a mobility solution like no other – a state of the art software on wheels that is well designed, sustainable and reduces the planet’s carbon footprint. Green Mobility is at the nucleus of TPEM, and the AVINYA Concept is the perfect reflection of what the company stands for – a creation that will not only accelerate the adoption of EVs but also lead this movement.”

“Furthermore, at the Tata group, we are uniquely positioned to bring all the expertise that is necessary to build these mobility solutions and we are confident that in years to come we will make a larger and sustainable impact not only in India but globally as well,” continued Mr Chandrasekaran.

The Tata Avinya Concept was originally inspired by a catamaran. Sporting an ultra-high-tech futuristic look, its silhouette has been designed such that it combines the luxuries and versatility of an SUV with the functionality of an MPV. From its front as well as its rear, the electric crossover sports the new Tata logo as a part of its LED DRLs. Coming on its sides, the vehicle features “Butterfly” doors while its skydome roof enhances the natural lighting and space within the car.

Speaking of its interiors, the Tata Avinya Concept EV seems to be following the footsteps of the recently released Audi Urbansphere Concept. The EV highlights a human-centric design with a great focus on the spaciousness and the sensory journey of its occupants. Believing in the lesser screen-time future trend, the company has made the Avinya Concept EV screenless. This would help its occupants by barring any distractions within the car and create a peaceful and relaxing environment for the body and soul.

Furthermore, the futuristic Tata EV also features a functional console inspired steering wheel and voice-activated systems. The vehicle is claimed to be made from sustainable materials, communicating its ethos. To add a finishing touch to the interiors, an aroma diffuser has been introduced, creating a serene and soothing ambience for its occupants.

The Tata Avinya Concept will have a fully electric powertrain. Further, the battery will support an ultra-fast charging capability, claimed to offer a 500km range in just 30mins. The overall philosophy of the Avinya Concept vehicle range is “Minimise-Maximise-Optimise”. It drives inspiration from human sensory cues and promises to provide a stress-free driving experience, whilst standing by the concept of minimalism.
