What do the Harrier, Nexon, Safari Red Dark Editions offer?

The Red Dark Edition of Nexon, Harrier, and Safari builds upon the ‘Dark’ Edition’s Bold Oberon Black paint scheme while adding a few cosmetic tweaks of its own. The all-black SUVs get red brake callipers and Zircon red inserts on the grille up front. The ‘Dark’ logo can be found in red on the fenders. The red theme continues to the interior of the SUVs, with a ‘Carnelian’ red upholstery, a steel black front dashboard design, and red leather accents on the grab handles, steering wheel, and doors. The ‘Dark’ logo also features on the headrests.

Apart from cosmetic changes, the Red Dark Editions of Harrier and Safari also receive a feature upgrade in the form of an ADAS package which comes with Autonomous Emergency Braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane change assist, and traffic sign recognition. Other features include a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display, a 360-degree camera, 200+ voice commands in 6 languages, and a memory & welcome function for the 6-way powered driver’s seat.

The Safari Red Dark Edition receives a few more add-ons like 4-way powered co-driver seats, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. The engines of all three SUVs are now compliant with the upcoming BS6 Phase II norms. The Red Dark Editions retain these engines. Tata Nexon comes with an option of a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine that put out 120hp and 115hp respectively. Harrier and Safari share a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power output of 170hp. All three SUVs come with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
