Bookings now open for 2023 Tata Harrier & Safari

Tata’s flagship SUVs are now BS6 Phase II compliant.

Tata Motors has opened bookings for the newly updated Tata Harrier and Safari. Both SUVs are now compliant with the BS6 Phase II norms that are set to kick in from April. The updated versions also get some new features that will bring them on par with some of the newer SUV releases in their segment. The two SUVs will be launched next month.

The biggest feature upgrade on the new Tata Harrier and Safari is the expanded ADAS package that now includes functions like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and lane change alert. The two SUVs also get a 360-degree camera and panoramic sunroof. Safari’s sunroof is lined with ambient lighting on the inside.

The touchscreen infotainment system on the two SUVs has also been upgraded to a 10.25-inch unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Voice control features have also been integrated into the new infotainment console. On top of that, the new Harrier and Safari get a 7.0-inch instrument cluster as well.

Tata Harrier To Come In 3 New Variants: Introduces A Dark Edition

Things remain the same under the hood as the updated Tata Harrier and Safari models continue to be offered with the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm peak torque. 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions are also on offer. This engine is now compliant with the upcoming RDE norms.

Conclusion 

While Tata has not revealed the pricing yet, the new Harrier and Safari could cost up to Rs 1 lakh more than their predecessors. Tata will also be looking to reveal the Red Editions for the two SUVs that were previously showcased at Auto Expo 2023.
