The new Range Rover Evoque facelift has been launched in India at the price of Rs 67.90 lakh. The SUV is available in a single trim – Dynamic SE. The outgoing model, priced at Rs 73.07 lakh, was available in a sportier R-Dynamic SE trim. The new Evoque gets some cosmetic but remains mechanically unchanged. The interior gets the bulk of the changes and exudes a cleaner look.

The new Range Rover Evoque gets a new grille which follows the design language of the more recent SUVs from the automaker. The LED headlamps flanking this grille retain their signature look but are now sleeker than before. The integrated LED DRLs get a minor design tweak. The alloy wheels on the Evoque facelift get a twin 10-spoke design. The red brake callipers are also a new addition to the SUV.

Inside, the dashboard layout of the SUV has been completely redesigned to accommodate the new 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This unit runs the new Pivi Pro software. The new dashboard looks much cleaner than the outgoing model, giving off a minimalist vibe. The centre console features a new gear lever and concealed storage with wireless charging. Rotary knobs for the HVAC controls have been ditched to give way to the new storage section. The sidebar on the new touchscreen incorporates all the necessary controls.

The SUV also gets a new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster. The touchscreen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features on the new Evoque include an air purifier, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, temperature control for the front seating, a 360-degree camera, and more.

Things remain the same under the hood as the Range Rover Evoque gets the same two engine options from the outgoing model. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 247hp and 365Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 201hp and 430Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a mild-hybrid 48V setup. Transmission duties are handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

Conclusion

Land Rover has also introduced two new colour options for the Range Rover Evoque facelift – Corinthian Bronze and Tribeca Blue. The SUV gets AWD as standard. There are seven drive modes onboard the Evoque – Eco, Comfort, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Ruts, Sand, Dynamic, and Automatic. The Range Rover Evoque facelift rivals the likes of the Volvo XC60, Mercedes Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and BMW X3.
