The 2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport has been updated with new features and gets minor cosmetic changes to its exterior. The SUV is now priced at Rs 67.90 lakh. It is available in a single ‘Dynamic SE’ trim and two engine options. Mechanically, the Land Rover Discovery Sport remains unchanged. The SUV was updated globally in June 2023. This update is now reaching Indian shores.

2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport: What’s new?
In terms of cosmetic updates, the 2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a gloss black finish on the badge, grille, lower body sills, and lower bumpers. The wheel arches and the claw-shaped air intakes are also finished in gloss black. The 19-inch alloy wheels rock a new design. The automaker has also added a new colour option for the SUV in the form of Varesine Blue.
Inside, the Land Rover Discovery Sport gets a new 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system. This is a larger unit than the one on the outgoing model. It gets an updated OS and support for Wireless Apple CarPlay. The infotainment system is integrated with shortcut keys to major controls and special functions on the sidebar.
Every seating row gets two USB Type-C chargers. The second row gets a 12V power socket and the third row gets boot and climate controls. The SUV also gets a new design for the steering wheel, a new gear shifter, and two colour options for the upholstery. Other features include 360-degree cameras, a rear-view mirror display, an air purifier, a panoramic sunroof, and reclining rear seats with a 40:20:40 split functionality.
Things remain the same under the hood as the Land Rover Discovery Sport continues to be offered in two engine options. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 245hp and 365Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 201hp and 430Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Conclusion
There is no difference in pricing between the two engine options. The 7-seater SUV boasts a cargo space of 1,740mm with all seats folded. In India, the Land Rover Discovery Sport rivals the likes of the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Volvo XC60, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
