Tata Motors’ compact SUV offering in India, Punch, has received a small price hike. The entry-level ‘Pure’ variant is now dearer by Rs 13,000. Prices for the remaining variants have been increased in the range of Rs 3,000 – Rs 10,000. Tata has also removed some of the less popular trims from the Punch lineup. The ‘Camo’ Edition for the SUV has also been discontinued. Meanwhile, the automaker has added new variants to the Creative trim of the SUV.

The Camo Edition for Tata Punch was introduced in September 2022. Like other Camo Editions in Tata’s range, it features a ‘Foliage Green’ colour scheme. The roof finish was available in Piano Black and Pristine White colour options, giving the SUV a dual-tone look. The chrome inserts on the grille were blacked out and a silver skid plate was placed on the bumper. The SUV’s fender contained the ‘Camo’ branding.
The ICE model of Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine can produce a maximum power output of 86hp and 113Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The SUV is also available in a CNG powertrain which produces a maximum power output of 77hp and 97Nm of torque.
Last month, Tata launched the all-electric Punch at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh. The Long Range variants of the Tata Punch EV produce a maximum power output of 122hp and 190Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Standard variant puts out 82hp and 114Nm. The former can go from 0-100kmph in 9.5 seconds with the top speed capped at 140kmph. Meanwhile, the latter can accomplish the same feat in 13.5 seconds.

Conclusion
A facelifted model for the ICE Tata Punch is also in the works. It will be launched in India next year. The Punch facelift will get a much-needed feature upgrade, including a new infotainment system. Right now Tata Punch rivals the likes of Hyundai Exter, Nissan Magnite, Citroen C3, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
