Price Hike: Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Price increased by Rs 6,000, New Features Added

Maruti Suzuki has announced a price hike of Rs 6,000 for its MPV, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The price hike will apply across all variants. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also receive some safety upgrades that were previously missing from the lower variants.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Revised Prices and new Safety features

Following the Rs 6,000 price hike, the new prices for all the variants of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be as follows.

The lowest-priced LXi variant will now cost Rs 8.35 lakh, while the highest variant, ZXi+, will cost Rs 12.85 lakh.

The Ertiga also gets new safety features like Electronic Safety Programme (ESP) and Hill Assist across all variants. Earlier, these features were only available in the top-end models. The Ertiga was also refreshed earlier this year, receiving a chrome winged front grille, dual-tone alloy wheels, and fresh garnish on the tailgate with chrome inserts. On the inside, it received a new finish for the dashboard and dual-tone seat upholstery. The Ertiga was also made available in two new colours – Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown.

Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can generate a maximum power of 103hp and 137Nm torque. This engine is paired to a 5-speed manual or a 6–speed automatic gearbox.

Maruti has not specified whether the CNG variant of the Ertiga will also receive a price hike.  The CNG variant currently has a waiting period of almost 9 months. With prices starting at Rs 8.41 lakh, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rivals Renault Triber, Mahindra Marazzo, Maruti Suzuki XL6, Kia Seltos, and Hyundai Creta.
