2023 Nissan Magnite: What’s new?
The new Nissan Magnite will offer safety features like traction control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Hill Start Assist, and vehicle dynamic control as standard across all variants. The Nissan Magnite is currently available in five variants – XE, XL, XV, XV Executive, and XV Premium. However, there still remain some features that are exclusively available on the higher trims. ISOFIX seat anchorages and LED fog lamps are some of them. The Nissan Magnite only offers dual airbags, which are available as standard across all five variants, with no option of six airbags on any variant.
Nissan has also upgraded the two powertrain options on offer to bring them up to the emission standards under the BS6 Phase II regulations. These regulations are set to kick in from April 2023. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine can generate a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm peak torque. The turbo petrol engine can put out 100hp and 160Nm. Both engines can be mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox.
No changes have been made to the interior layout or instrumentation setup as the Nissan Magnite retains the 8-inch touchscreen with WiFi connectivity (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, wireless charging, and ambient mood lighting. It also comes with a push-button start and an air purifier.

The SUV rivals the low-end variants of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Punch, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
