New GX+ variant added to the Toyota Innova Crysta lineup

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced a new GX+ variant for the Innova Crysta. This mid-spec variant costs Rs 21.39 lakh. It is placed between the GX and VX variants. Toyota Innova Crysta GX+ is available in 7 and 8-seat layouts. The latter fetches Rs 21.44 lakh. Last month, the automaker added a GX(O) variant to the Innova HyCross variant.

Toyota Innova Crysta GX+: What’s on offer?

The new GX+ variant of the Toyota Innova Crysta is equipped with 14 more features than the variant (GX) below it. These features include a rear camera, auto-fold mirrors, and DVR, as well as aesthetic enhancements like diamond-cut alloys, wooden panels, and premium fabric seats. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the MPV supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In terms of safety, the X+ variant gets features like SRS Airbags, ABS, Vehicle Stability Control, and Hill-Start Assist Control.

Things remain the same under the hood as the Toyota Innova Crysta GX+ continues to be powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine that can produce a maximum power output of 150hp and 343Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. There are 2 drive modes onboard – Power and Eco.

Conclusion

The GX+ Toyota Innova Crysta is available in five colour options – Super White, Attitude Black Mica, Avant-Garde Bronze Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Silver Metallic. Toyota is also offering a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000 km on the GX+ Crysta, which can be extended to 5 years/2,20,000 km at a nominal cost. The MPV rivals the likes of the Tata Safari, Kia Carnival, and Mahindra XUV700 in India.
