New 2023 Honda HRV SUV Revealed: Sporty Looks With A Longer Stance

The much-awaited 2023 Honda HRV SUV has been finally revealed for the North American markets. Said to be majorly based on the new-gen Honda Civic model, the new Honda HRV will initially cater to only North America. The new SUV that will take place of its current version being sold in the market looks sporty and elegant and provides a longer stance. The 2023 Honda HRV release date has not been confirmed yet, although it is expected to launch sometime this summer.

The all-new 2023 Honda HRV comes completely restyled, sporting a large honeycomb grille from the front, along with a sporty bumper that makes it look aggressive overall. Its narrow headlights are set high. As per Honda, the roof mouldings are gone and the windshield wipers are hidden, making the edges appear much cleaner. It offers a longer wheelbase as compared to its predecessor.

Several upgrades can be observed on its rear as well, in the form of larger wraparound tail lamps, a wider tailgate, a muscular looking bumper with body cladding and a body-coloured skid plate. Its side profile gives it a crossover-ish look. Speaking of the 2023 HRV interiors, information is still sparse on that front.

The 2023 Honda HRV specs expected on its mechanical front include two petrol engine options, a 2.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine. Both engines power the new Civic model. Apart from these two, a hybrid powertrain could also be added to the all-new Honda SUV’s lineup. It is expected to come in both manual and automatic transmissions and offers an FWD layout as standard.

The details regarding the 2023 Honda HRV SUV India launch are still unknown. Honda had discontinued its CR-V model in late 2020, which was its last car in the compact SUV segment in India. The Japanese automaker is, however, also reportedly developing an SUV specifically for the Indian markets.

The 2023 Honda HRV price is expected to be slightly over that of its current HRV model in the North-American markets.
