MG announces price hike for MG Hector, Hector Plus, and Astor

MG Motors has announced a price hike of up to Rs 28,000 for three of its SUVs – MG Hector, Hector Plus, and Astor. This is the second time this year that MG has increased the prices of these three SUVs, with Hector and Hector Plus receiving a hike in April, while the Astor got its price bumped in July. MG recently launched the Gloster facelift at Rs 31.99 lakh, and a Hector facelift is said to be in the works.

MG Hector updated price list

The petrol variants of MG Hector receive a price hike of Rs 20,000-28,000. The base variant Style MT is now priced at Rs 14.43 lakh, while the Sharp diesel variant now costs Rs 20.36 lakh. Here is the detailed price list.

MG Hector Plus updated price list

The MG Hector Plus receives a price hike of Rs 25,000-28,000 depending on the variant. The Super diesel MT 6-seat variant and Super petrol MT 7-variant are the only ones that have not received a price hike. Here is the new detailed price list for MG Hector Plus.

MG Astor updated price list

MG Astor variants will see a price rise of up to Rs 10,000. The Style MT variant now starts at Rs 10.38 lakh and prices go as high as Rs 18.23 lakh for the Sharp (O) AT Turbo variant. Here is the new detailed price list for MG Astor.

Conclusion

MG Motors had a combine sales of 3,823 units in August 2022, a slight decline from the 4,013 units sold in July 2022. In the coming months, MG plans on releasing a facelift version of the Hector and adding an entry-level EX variant to the Hector and Hector Plus lineup.
