Mercedes-Benz has added a new ‘Celebration Edition’ to its EQS sedan. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition is priced at Rs 1.30 crore in India. The automaker will produce only 50 units of the Celebration Edition. The special edition electric sedan gets feature upgrades. No changes have been made under the hood.

Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 Celebration Edition: What’s new?
Mercedes recently launched an India-inspired special edition for the G 63 wagon. 30 units of the luxury off-roader were set aside for the Collector’s Edition. They flaunt 2 two exterior Manufaktur paint shade options inspired by India’s cultural richness: Mid Green Magno and Red Magno. The ‘Celebration Edition’ of the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 EV has received no such cosmetic updates.
The limited edition luxury electric sedan gets interior and feature upgrades. The Rear Seat Comfort Package adds a massage function and lumbar support to the rear seats. These seats are reclinable up to 38 degrees. The Chauffeur Package brings electronically reclinable front seats to the sedan. The special edition flaunts Nappa leather upholstery and designer belt buckles. There’s a new MBUX AR navigation system onboard as well.
No changes have been made to the Mercedes EQS 580’s powertrain on the Celebration Edition. The dual electric motor system continues to produce a maximum power output of 544hp and 858Nm of torque on the luxury sedan. The EQS 580 can go from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds. The 107.8kWh battery pack offers an 817km driving range – the highest on any EV in India. A 200kW DC fast charger can take it from 0-80% in 31 minutes. Meanwhile, it takes between 11-17 hours to fully charge the sedan using a 7.4kW or 11kW AC charger.

Final Thoughts
Prices for the regular Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 model start at Rs 1.41 crore. It rivals the Porsche Taycan and the Audi e-Tron GT. Mercedes-Benz is also ramping up its luxury retail presence in India. The automaker has inaugurated 11 new luxury touchpoints in 2025 so far. It plans on unveiling 19 more touchpoints in the next 5 months.
