Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Design, Engine, and Pricing
The exterior design of the Alto K10 is closer to Celerio than it is to the Alto 800. It is underpinned by Maruti’s Heartect platform which is found in A-segment hatchbacks like Celerio and Ertiga. This is also why the Alto K10 is a visibly bigger vehicle than its predecessor, with dimensions of 3,530 x 1,490 x 1,520mm resting on a 2,380mm wheelbase.
The front profile is highlighted by a wider grille that has been redesigned and totally blacked out. It also gets sweptback halogen headlamps, which give it a more distinguished look than its predecessor. The front and rear bumpers have also received a design tweak.
The side profile carries forward some classic Alto design elements like the shape of the windows and turn indicators mounted on the front fender. It receives a more pronounced shoulder line, and the car rests on 13-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. The rear looks heavily inspired by the Celerio apart from a few design tweaks on the tail lamps and bumper.
Inside, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 gets all-black interiors, as opposed to the dual-tone colour theme on its predecessor. It also receives a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a much-needed upgrade to bring it up to speed in 2022. Other design elements are similar to S-Presso and Celerio, like the door handles, power window buttons, steering wheel and AC vents. The Alto K10 also receives Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with a host of safety features like ABS, ESP, dual airbags at the front, and seat belt pretensioners.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be powered by the 1.0-lire, three-cylinder, K10C engine that is also found in Celerio and S-Presso. This engine can produce a maximum power of 67hp and 89Nm torque. The K10C engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The mileage of the Alto K10 is 24.39 kmpl for manual variants and 24.90 kmpl for automatic variants.

The orders for Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 can officially be placed at the Arena showrooms or Maruti’s official website. The only main competitor to the Alto K10 is Renault Kwid, but it will also rival Datsun redi-Go, and Maruti’s very own Celerio.
