The gorgeous Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza was launched back in 2016 and had been setting up benchmarks for compact SUVs to date. Although looking at the competition in the market we feel the company needs to provide a facelift for the same to boost the sales and also provide the best in class features, which the competition provides in the same price segment.
Coming to the Current Vitara brezza model, it comes with a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine which produces 105ps of max power with 138 Nm max torque. Currently, the model is sold with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic engine. If the company releases the CNG variant it will be offered with the same engine and will take a hit on power figures. It will be both eco friendly for the environment as well as will not make a big hole in the consumers pockets.
Currently, Maruti Suzuki offers Vitara brezza in 4 options like LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ looking at the company’s trail it is expected for Vitra breeze to come in CNG for LXI and VXI models.
For now, it is unclear whether the CNG model will be released with the facelift or the old model. Looking at the competition in the market, cars like Tata Nexon, Kia sonet etc. provide multiple engine options along with top features in the market. Now seems like a good time for Maruti Suzuki to provide consumers with a CNG variant, as the fuel prices are at their peak and consumers want to enjoy sweet luxury at affordable prices. We would not mind driving a CNG backed mini-SUV/MUV, which has dual CNG cylinders in the rear.
