Hyundai Motor India has added a new ‘EX’ variant to the Exter’s CNG powertrain lineup. The Hyundai Exter EX CNG is priced at Rs 7.50 lakh. It has a split-cylinder design to maximize the boot space. The Exter CNG is also available in S, S+, SX, and Exter Knight SX trims. The EX trim acts as the entry-level variant in the SUV’s CNG lineup. Unlike other variants, it is not available with a single-cylinder setup.

The Hyundai Exter CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (Petrol with CNG) engine which generates a maximum power output of 69hp and 95Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no option to pair it with an automatic transmission. The Integrated Electronic Control Unit (ECU) ensures a seamless drive experience while shifting from petrol to CNG and vice versa. The Exter CNG offers a mileage of 27.1km/kg. Meanwhile, its petrol variants have a fuel efficiency of 19.4km/l. In a petrol guise, the Exter produces 83hp and 114Nm.
The EX variant of Hyundai Exter CNG gets features like keyless entry, H-shaped LED headlamps, a 4.2-inch multi-instrument display, front power windows, a height-adjusted driver’s seat and more. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, and more.
Meanwhile, the higher variants of the Hyundai Exter CNG SUV flaunt features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Smart Electric Sunroof, LED DRLs and LED taillamp, Fully Automatic Temperature Control (FATC), and a lot more. Safety features include 6 airbags, TPMS highline, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and much more.
