Citroen Aircross & C3 Dark Editions: What to expect?
The Dark Editions of Citroen Aircross and C3 will have an all-black exterior theme. The grille inserts, badges, alloy wheels, and OVRMs will be blacked out. The automaker will also darken the silver finish on the bumpers and lend a smoked-out finish to the LED headlamps.
Inside, the Citroen Aircross and C3 Dark Editions will feature a blaked-out leatherette dashboard with red stitching. This is an upgrade from the plastic dashboard on the regular models of the two cars. The Dark Editions will also receive black leatherette upholstery with contrasting red stitching. The special edition models will not get any instrumentation upgrades.
The Aircross SUV was recently updated with features like automatic climate control, rear AC vent, electrically folding wing mirrors, passenger-side grab handle, flip key, and repositioned power window controls for rear passengers. Other features of the SUV include a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, USB charging, reverse camera, rear wiper & defogger, and more. Safety features include two airbags, ABS, ESC, TPMS, hill-hold assist, and more as standard across all variants.
The Dark Editions for Citroen Aircross and C3 will remain the same under the hood. There are 2 powertrain options on offer. The 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 82hp and 115Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 6-manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The Dark Editions will likely be offered with the turbo petrol engine.
