Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic: Key Details

Here is what the full price for the automatic variants of Citroen C3 Aircross looks like.

Variant Price
Plus Rs 12.85 lakh
Max Rs 13.50 lakh
Max 7-seater Rs 13.85 lakh

Powering the Citroen C3 Aircross is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 205Nm of torque. The 6-speed torque converter gearbox paired with this engine is sourced from the Japanese company Aisin. The Indonesia-spec model of the C3 Aircross has the same automatic gearbox as well. The automatic variants of the SUV miss out on paddle shifters but get remote engine start and AC preconditioning as added features.

Citroen C3 Aircross SUV makes its global debut in India

No cosmetic changes have been made to the automatic variants of the Citroen C3 Aircross. The midsize SUV stands at dimensions of 4,323mm x 1,796mm x 1,669mm and has a wheelbase of 2,671mm. The entry-level 5-seater variant of the SUV has a boot space capacity of 444 litres while the 7-seater variant offers 511 litres of cargo space with the third row folded flat. The SUV is underpinned by the CMP platform.

Things remain the same inside the SUV as well. The top-spec Max trim gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. However, the entry-level ‘You’ variant misses out on the touchscreen infotainment system speaker system, USB charging, roof-mounted AC vents, reverse camera, and rear wiper & defogger. Interestingly, the automatic gearbox is only available on the top-spec Plus and Max variants of the SUV.

Citroen C3 Aircross: What’s on offer?

Citroen C3 Aircross is one of the most affordable midsize SUVs in the market, largely due to the lack of high-end features. The top-spec variants of the SUV miss out on features like electric folding mirrors, cruise control, automatic climate control, wireless charging, ventilated front seat, keyless entry, push-button entry, and a sunroof. However, as far as the safety aspect of the SUV is concerned, it is packed with features like two airbags, ABS, ESC, TPMS, hill-hold assist, and more as standard across all variants.

Conclusion

Bookings for the Citroen C3 Aircross AT are currently underway. The presence of an automatic gearbox will give the SUV a much-needed boost in sales. Citroen is also planning on introducing the C3X sedan crossover in India later this year. Meanwhile, the C3 Aircross rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Skoda Kushaq.
