Citroen C3, Basalt, Aircross, & C5 Aircross: New warranty package and discount offers
By offering a new standard warranty package for its ICE offerings, Citroen is looking to match its closest rivals in Tata, Hyundai, Renault, and Maruti. Tata and Hyundai also offer a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty for all of their cars. Meanwhile, Renault and Maruti announced similar packages recently.
Citroen is also offering significant discounts on its ICE and electric models this month. Citroen C3 is available with a 1 lakh discount package, while the eC3, Aircross, and Basalt are available with offers worth up to Rs 80,000, Rs 1.75 lakh, and Rs 80,000 respectively. The C5 Aircross is the only Citroen not available with any discounts.
The automaker also hiked the prices for the Basalt crossover by Rs 26,000 recently. Prices for the crossover now start at Rs 8.25 lakh for the entry-level You variant and go up to Rs 13.99 lakh for the top-spec Max Turbo AT Dual Tone variant. The Plus variant is the only one that has not received a price hike.
The Basalt crossover was launched in August 2024 at a starting price of Rs 7.99 lakh. It is available in 2 engine options. The 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox (where it produces 205Nm of torque). On the C3 Aircross SUV, this engine offers a mileage of 18.5 kmpl. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine puts out 82hp and 115Nm. This engine can only be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Conclusion
The new warranty package does not apply to the eC3, Citroen’s only all-electric offering in India. The electric hatchback comes with a standard 3-year/1.25 lakh km warranty. Its battery pack gets a 7-year/1.40 lakh km warranty while the electric is covered for 5 years or 1 lakh km (whichever comes sooner).
