Skoda Auto has launched the second-generation model of the Kodiaq SUV in India. The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is available in 2 trims – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). Skoda’s flagship SUV in India is a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) import. It is assembled locally at the automaker’s plant in Chakan. Bookings for the new Kodiaq are now open for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Skoda will begin the delivery rollout on May 2.

The 2nd-generation Skoda Kodiaq has a bold front fascia. Its front grille is integrated with LED DRLs. Flanking this grille are split LED headlamps. The air vents are neatly placed on the extreme ends of the bumper. Skoda has updated the design of the 18-inch alloy wheels on which the Kodiaq rests. At the back, the C-shaped LED taillamps are connected by a light bar. The new Kodiaq is 59mm longer than its predecessor.
Inside, the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq gets a completely new look. The dashboard has a winged design and is made out of premium materials. In terms of features, the SUV rocks a 13-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, massage seats, a panoramic sunroof, physical dials for the HVAC system, a 13-speaker audio system, and more. The L&K variant has a new two-spoke steering wheel while the Sportline variant sticks with the 3-spoke unit.
On the safety front, the new Skoda Kodiaq packs 9 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, parking assist, electronic differential lock, driver drowsiness alert system, and hill start assist with descent control.
No changes have been made under the hood of the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq. The SUV carried forward the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine from its predecessor. This engine now produces a maximum power output of 204hp and 320Nm of torque. This is an improvement of 14hp compared to the outgoing model. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. Both variants rock the All Wheel Drive configuration. Skoda claims a mileage of 14.86km/l on the new Kodiaq.

The new Kodiaq is available in 6 colour options – Bronx Gold, Velvet Red, Race Blue, Black Magic, Moon White, and Graphite Grey. As mentioned earlier, buyers can book their model for a token amount of Rs 50,000. The SUV rivals Jeep Meridian, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Nissan X-Trail in India.
