Prices for Jeep Compass and Meridian SUV have been increased by up to Rs 43,000 and Rs 57,000 respectively. Back in April, the automaker had reduced the starting price for the two SUVs while hiking the prices for the higher variants. The Jeep Compass range now starts at Rs 21.73 lakh while the Meridian starts at Rs 33.40 lakh.

The 2.0-litre diesel engine on the Jeep Compass produces a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The automaker plans on introducing a 1.3-litre petrol engine for the Compass next year.

Like the Compass, the Meridian also gets 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic transmission options. The entry-level Limited MT and AT variants of the Meridian were recently discontinued by the automaker.
