2022 Renault Kiger Launched In India: Everything You Need To Know

Renault India has finally launched the much-awaited 2022 Renault Kiger in the country, with the focus to regain customer interest in its brand. The all-new SUV comes with some fresh updates primarily on its cosmetic front. Design teams from France and India are said to have collaborated for bringing the 5-seater SUV to life. Within the compact SUV segment, cars like Kia Sonnet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite and Tata Nexon will be giving the 2022 Renault Kiger competition. 

Riding on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, the new 2022 Renault Kiger now features a front skid plate and turbo door decals. On its rear can be observed a tailgate chrome insert. Its RXT(O) variant which was launched in 2021 as Renault’s 10th-anniversary celebrations, is now offered in both a 1.0L turbo manual and an X-Tronic CVT transmission option. In addition to the existing colours that it is offered in, a new dual-tone Metal Mustard with Mystery Black roof colour option is available for the customers.

Speaking of its interiors, the 2022 Renault Kiger features a red fade dashboard accent along with quilted emboss seat upholstery. On the comfort and safety front, it is equipped with features like ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, up to four airbags, seat belt and speed alert, speed impact sensing door lock and unlock, a 60-40 split rear row seats with ISOFIX anchorage for the child seat as well as wireless smartphone charging and cruise control. What’s more, the new 2022 Renault Kiger NCAP rating for adult safety stands at 4-stars. The compact SUV also gets a PM2.5 Advanced Atmospheric Filter as standard.

Coming to its engine specifications, the 2022 Renault Kiger is available in a 1.0L three-cylinder petrol engine available in 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmissions, and a 1.0L three-cylinder turbo engine in 5-speed manual and 5-speed CVT transmissions.
