2022 Hyundai Venue launched: Everything you need to know

Hyundai India announced the launch of its new SUV Hyundai Venue on Thursday, June 16th. The 2022 facelift comes in six variants – E, S, S+, S(O), SX, and SX(O). The 2022 Hyundai Venue also receives diverse and remarkable upgrades over the outgoing model. Launched at a base price of Rs 7.53 lakh for the 1.2-litre mPi petrol variant, the higher-end 1.0 turbo GDi model will fetch up to Rs 12.57 lakh.

The facelift comes as a total revamp of the 2019 Hyundai Venue, and has significant upgrades both inside and out.

The 2022 Hyundai Venue: What’s New?

ExteriorsHyundai Venue is styled in a way that grabs your attention. It looks nothing like its outgoing predecessor. It retains the same boxy frame but features a new dark chrome grille and connecting LED tail lamps. The ‘Parametric Jewel’ design on the grille seems inspired by the new Tucson. The front bumper received a noticeable upgrade as well, and the cluster LED lamps got a new redesign.

The new Venue retains the same side profile as its predecessor, bar the new set of 16-inch alloy wheel designs and the chrome-finished outside door handles.

Just like the front, the rear of the Hyundai Venue gets major upgrades too. The first thing you’ll notice is the LED tail lamps are now connected by a light strip through the width of the tailgate, giving it a bolder, modern look. The rear LED tail lamps have been slightly redesigned as well.

Interiors

While the interiors of the Hyundai Venue may not look any different at the first look, it comes with a whole host of new features. Firstly, it comes with a new black and ivory dual-tone colour theme.

The 8.0-inch infotainment system also receives a new upgrade as it now comes with connectivity to Alexa and Google Voice Assistant along with Home-2-Car (H2C) connectivity. The new Bluelink interface supports up to 10 regional languages and is equipped with more than 60 new features such as climate control, find my car, remote door lock, and speed sensing lock.

The facelift model gets a two-set recline function on the rear seats, a power driver seat, ambient lights, an auto air purifier, and a digitized driver display.

Safety

When it comes to safety, the new Hyundai Venue is decked with six airbags, automated headlamps, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and a Rear Parking Assist camera with dynamic guidelines. On top of that, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, and Electronic Stability Control ensure further safety.

Engine

Under the hood, the 2022 Hyundai Venue is identical to its outgoing model. The three engine options on offer are 83PS 1.2-litre petrol, 100PS 1.5-litre diesel, and 120PS 1-litre turbo petrol. While the turbo petrol variant gets a choice of either a six-speed semi-automatic gearbox or a seven-speed Dual-Clutch Auto, the diesel version comes only with a six-speed manual transmission.
