Bookings for Audi Q8 e-tron are now open for Rs 5 lakh

The Audi Q8 e-tron is set to launch next week. The electric SUV can now be booked at a token amount of Rs 5 lakh. Like the outgoing model, the Q8 e-tron facelift will be offered in two trims – 50 and 55. The facelifted models improve upon the driving range and get some feature upgrades as well.

Audi Q8 e-tron: Bookings now open

The most significant upgrade on the new Audi Q8 e-tron facelift comes under the hood. The two trims get a dual-motor configuration. The dual motor on the ‘50’ trim generates a maximum power output of 340hp and 640Nm of torque. Equipped with a 95kWh battery, this trim delivers a driving range of 491km. The Sportback variant offers a driving range of 505km.

The ‘55’ trim of the Audi Q8 e-tron produces a maximum power output of 408hp and 664Nm of torque. It is equipped with a larger 114kWh battery that offers a driving range of 582km on the SUV and 600km on the Sportback variant. When it comes to charging options, both trims have the support for 170kW DC fast charging. They also come with a 22kW AC charger. The SUV has a charging port on either side.

Talking about feature upgrades, the Audi Q8 e-tron facelift gets a dual-screen setup consisting of a 10.1-inch infotainment system and an 8.6-inch display with HVAC controls. It also gets powered front seats with massage and temperature control features, a Bang and Olufsen speaker system, four-zone climate control, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and more.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, Audi will launch the facelifted SUV next week. The outgoing model of the Q8 is priced at Rs 1.02 crore and the facelift is expected to cost a premium over that amount. Upon launch, the Audi Q8 e-tron will rival the Jaguar I-Pace in India.
