Bajaj Chetak Premium: What’s new?

The updated ‘Premium’ variant of Bajaj Chetak gets a new 3.2kWh battery pack. This is an improvement over the 2.8kWh unit on the outgoing variant. The new battery pack offers a driving range of 127km. Due to the larger battery capacity, the charging time of the electric scooter has also increased. It takes almost 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge the new Premium variant of the Chetak from 0-100%.

Another significant change on the Bajaj Chetak Premium is the 5-inch TFT dash. This is a necessary addition, bringing the electric scooter on par with the rest of the segment. The new dash also offers smartphone connectivity, which allows users to receive notifications and control the music playback from the EV itself. Riders can avail these features by buying Bajaj’s TecPac for the electric scooter. The TecPac costs an additional Rs 9,000.

Other features included in the TecPac are turn-by-turn navigation, display themes, sports mode, hill hold assist, and reverse mode. It also bumps up the speed of the scooter by 10 kmph. The top speed for the regular variant is capped at 63 kmph. Premium variants with TecPac can reach a top speed of 73kmph.
