2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Z400 Launched In Europe: With Euro-5 Compliant Engines

Kawasaki has brought back two roadsters from its range 400 motorbike lineup in Europe. The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Z400 are all set to make a re-entry into the European markets this August. However, an even major development is that both these motorcycles will come with Euro-5 compliant engines. Hence, there might be a silver lining that the Ninja 400, which was discontinued in India, may make its way back to the country.

The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Z400 are powered by a 399cc, 4-stroke parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. The engine delivers an output of 45hp at 10,000rpm and 37Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. This is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.

The 2023 Ninja 400 comes with a 20% lighter slip and assist clutch as compared to its predecessor. According to the brand, this reduces the effort while changing gears in the motorcycle. The body design of the new Ninja 400 seems to be inspired by its elder sibling Ninja ZX-10R, but with a slightly subtle and beginner-friendly stance. It comes featuring a Z H2 style tubular steel trellis frame.

Both the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Z400 have 310mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. No significant changes can be seen on their chassis and suspension. They get a 41mm telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear.

Speaking of the 2023 Ninja 400, it comes in Lime Green with Ebony and Metallic Carbon Grey with Metallic Matte Carbon Grey dual-tone colour combinations.

The 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 400 is priced at £6,250 (INR 6.10 lakhs approx.) and the 2023 Kawasaki Z400 is priced at £6,000 (INR 5.85 lakhs approx.)
