Force Gurkha: Fresh competition in the lifestyle SUV segment
The 5-door Force Gurkha matches the boxy design of its 3-door sibling but comes with two additional doors. It also gets segmented windows at the back. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,825mm, making it 425mm longer than its 3-door counterpart. The front fascia of the Gurkha is marked by circular LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and a two-slat grille. Along the sides, the SUV rests on 18-inch diamond-cut alloys. The LED tail lamps are aligned vertically.
Talking about the features, the Force Gurkha 5-door is decked with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. It also gets a digital instrument cluster. Other features include a rear camera, tilt and telescopic steering adjust, traction control, and hill hold assist. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System shows the pressure of the spare tyre mounted on the tailgate as well.
Powering the Force Gurkha is the familiar 2.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine which is sourced from Mercedes. This engine now produces a better output. It can churn out 140hp and 320Nm. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The outgoing Gurkha could only produce a maximum power output of 91hp. Force is also offering 4WD as a standard feature on the Gurkha.
