Maruti Suzuki has launched a special edition for its lifestyle SUV, Jimny. The Thunder Edition is available for both variants of the Jimny – Alpha and Zeta. Priced at Rs 10.74 lakh, the new Thunder Edition edition undercuts the launch price of the Jimny by Rs 2 lakh. The top-spec variant of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition costs Rs 14.05 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition: What’s new?
The new Thunder Edition of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny gets a bunch of accessories as standard. These include front bumper garnish, front skid plate, side door cladding, door visor, door sill guard, OVRM garnish, side fender garnish, interior styling kit, and more. The SUV also gets special graphics along the sides. There are no other changes to the Jimny on the Thunder Edition. The SUV stands at dimensions of 3850mm x 1645mm x 1730mm with a wheelbase of 2,550 mm. The 3-door Jimny had a wheelbase of 2,250 mm.
There are no new additions to the instrumentation, as the Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition sticks with the all-black interiors and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the entry-level variant. The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is bench seating on the second row, which means the Jimny can accommodate 5 people. Safety features include 6 airbags, Brake Limited Slip Differential, ESP with hill hold assist, rearview camera, hill descent control, and ABS with EBD.
Things remain the same under the hood, as the Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition continues to be powered by the K15B petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 102hp and 130Nm peak torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The Jimny also receives Suzuki’s All Grip Pro AWD with low-range transfer gear (4L mode). Maruti Suzuki Jimny offers a mileage of 16.94 kmpl on the manual variants and 16.39 kmpl on the automatic variants.

Ever since its introduction to the Indian market in June 2023, the Jimny has been one of Maruti’s best-selling cars in the country. The automaker started exporting the India-manufactured 5-door Jimny to foreign markets like Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa in October.
