3rd-generation Hyundai Creta: What do the spy shots suggest?
Hyundai’s new K3 platform will underpin the 3rd-gen Creta. This platform also does duty on the 2nd-gen Kia Seltos. The newly surfaced spy shots of the Creta reveal a longer profile. It could measure up to 4,500mm in length. The current model of the SUV is 4,330mm long. Meanwhile, the 2nd-gen Seltos has a length of 4,460mm.

The newest test mule of the Creta was draped in heavy camouflage, just like its previous test units. The new spy shots reveal an upright front fascia and a boxier profile. The LED headlamps have a rectangular shape. The dual-tone OVRMs are integrated with turn indicators. The profile view reveals a new design for the alloy wheels. The SUV has a slightly tapering roofline. Hyundai could introduce its Parametric Pixel design language for the headlamps and tail lamp setup on the new Creta. The grille and bumpers will be updated as well.

Not much is known about the interior of the new Hyundai Creta so far, but the K3 platform will increase its cabin space. The boot space capacity will also get a boost. The steering wheel will get Hyundai’s new 4-dot illuminated logo (signifying ‘H’ in Morse code). The front seats will have physical control buttons. In terms of features, the SUV could get twin 12.3-inch displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. It will also get Hyundai’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC). Other features like wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and a Level 2 ADAS package are also expected to make the cut.

No changes will be made under the hood of the 3rd-gen Hyundai Creta. It will retain the 3 engine options offered on the current model. The 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines generate a maximum power output of 115hp. The 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine puts out 160hp. All three engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed DCT gearbox.
