The automaker will take the wraps off the Gravite on January 26, 2026. Ahead of the big reveal, the MPV has been spotted on a road test in Tamil Nadu. The Gravite is based on the Renault Triber. Nissan Gravite: What do the new spy shots suggest?

The latest test mule of the Nissan Gravite, spotted in Tamil Nadu, was heavily camouflaged. However, we could make out the sleek LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps. The grille appears to have a compact form factor. The bonnet of the MPV will rock the ‘GRAVITE’ lettering, as revealed by the official teaser. However, this detail was hidden on the test mule.

Along the sides, the MPV will get sporty-looking alloy wheels, thick body cladding, and a pronounced stance. At the back, it’ll flaunt C-shaped tail lamps. Like the bonnet, the tailgate will also get the ‘GRAVITE’ lettering. Nissan Gravite will be underpinned by the same CMF-A+ platform as the Renault Triber. It will have exactly the same dimensions as its Renault counterpart.

No details have been revealed about the Gravite’s interior so far. Nissan’s next teaser drop for the MPV may give us a glimpse of the cabin and dashboard. We won’t be surprised if it carries forward the interior layout of the Triber. However, it will get a new dual-tone colour theme. The instrumentation on both models will be the same. The Renault Triber flaunts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, second and third row AC vents, a start/stop push button, and wireless charging.

On the safety front, the Gravite will pack features like 6 airbags (standard), a 360-degree camera, ABS, front parking sensors, cruise control, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring Sensor, traction control, hill hold assist, ISOFIX child anchorages, and more.

The Nissan Gravite will be powered by the same 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Triber. On the Triber, it generates a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. Buyers will be able to choose between a 5-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Nissan will add a CNG powertrain for the MPV later down the line.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the Gravite will be revealed in March 2026. Nissan will begin accepting bookings in February. We expect its prices to start at Rs 7 lakh. Upon launch, it will lock horns with the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, and Kia Carens. The introduction of the Gravite will be followed by the addition of another SUV to Nissan’s portfolio – the Duster-based Tekton.
