Renault Triber is finally getting a facelift, 6 years after its introduction in the Indian market. The MPV was first spotted testing in India back in March. It was spotted on another road test recently. The new spy shots confirm a new design for the front fascia. No mechanical changes are expected on the MPV. The Triber facelift is a few months away from launch. Renault also has a facelifted model for the Kiger SUV in the works. Both cars will likely be launched at the same time.

Renault Triber facelift: What’s new?
Newly revealed spy shots of the Renault Triber facelift suggest that the MPV’s LED headlamps and DRLs will get a fresh new look. The DRLs will be integrated into the upper section of the LED headlamps. The bumper will host a larger air intake unit, and the position of the fog lamp housings will be changed. The design of the grille will be changed, too. The design of the rear bumper and LED tail lamps will be tweaked as well. The profile of the MPV will remain unchanged, apart from the alloy wheel design.
The cosmetic updates to the interior of the Renault Triber facelift will be minimal. The look of the dashboard will be slightly different from the current model. Renault may also introduce a new interior colour theme for the facelifted model. The instrumentation, however, will receive significant upgrades. The upcoming model of the MPV could feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will be accompanied by a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The MPV may also include features like automatic climate control, global smart key, remote engine start, and rear AC vents.
No changes are expected under the hood as the Renault Triber facelift will carry forward the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine from the current model. This engine produces a maximum power output of 72hp and 96Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Final Thoughts
Prices for the current-gen model of Renault Triber start at Rs 6.15 lakh and go up to Rs 8.98 lakh. The facelift will cost a small premium. We expect its prices to start at Rs 6.50 lakh. Upon launch, it will rival Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Toyota Rumion, and Kia Carens.. Nissan is also working on its Triber-based MPV. It will be launched in India in 2025.
