Tata Tiago facelift interior revealed ahead of launch

Tata Tiago is about to be updated with a facelift model. The new version of the hatchback will hit the market next week. Ahead of the launch, Tata has revealed the interior of its most affordable offering. The facelift model gets cosmetic changes and feature additions inside. Its exterior visuals were revealed earlier this week.

2026 Tata Tiago: What’s new inside?

The interior of the Tata Tiago has been completely revamped. The new dashboard gets a layered design and houses two free-floating displays for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. While the size of the infotainment display remains the same, the new instrument cluster is an upgrade over the LCD panel on the current model. The AC controls get a new panel of their own.

The black and grey dual-tone colour scheme for the fabric upholstery is a nice addition. The hatchback also gets a front centre armrest and new door pads. The centre console has been redesigned to accommodate two wireless charging pads – a feature that will make the Tiago highly competitive in its segment. However, this comes at the price of console storage. The interior of the Tiago EV has not been revealed yet.

When it comes to exterior updates, the ICE Tiago facelift gets an Altroz-like front grille, while the Tiago EV facelift gets a shut-off unit finished in body colour. Flanking the grille on the ICE model are pixel LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The all-electric model also gets eyebrow DRLs, but misses out on the pixel scheme for headlamps. The front bumper on both models has been reworked. Things remain relatively unchanged along the sides. The two favelifted models get a new design for the wheels along with Tiago NRG-inspired black wheel arches. At the back, the LED tail lamps get a vertical design. They are connected by a thick light band. The rear bumper has been reworked, too.

The Tata Tiago facelift remains mechanically unchanged. It carries forward the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that does duty on the current model. This engine generates a maximum power output of 86hp. It can be mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. In a CNG guise, it puts out 73hp and 95Nm.

The details about the Tiago EV facelift remain unknown. Its current version uses a Permanent Synchronous Motor. It generates a maximum power output of 75hp and 114Nm of torque. There are two battery options on offer. Tata claims a driving range of 315 km for the 24kWh battery pack and 250km for the 19.2kWh unit.

Final Thoughts

As mentioned earlier, the Tata Tiago facelift will go on sale on May 28. The current ICE range is priced between Rs 4.60 lakh and Rs 9.11 lakh. Considering the range of interior updates, the facelift will demand a small premium. Upon launch, it will continue to rival the Maruti Suzuki Wagon RCitroen C3, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in India.
