New 2022 Hyundai Creta Knight Edition Spied Upon: Arrives At Dealer Showrooms

After Tata Motors and the Jeep brand introduce their Safari Dark Edition and Compass Night Eagle SUVs respectively into the Indian markets, the all-new 2022 Hyundai Creta Knight Edition follows suit. Hyundai India launched a special Knight Edition variant of its popular SUV Creta earlier this month. It recently arrived at dealer showrooms, thereby revealing its first look to the country. 

The Knight Edition Creta comes with a range of cosmetic and feature updates. It sports an all-black theme on its exteriors, featuring a gloss black finish front grille with red inserts, black front and rear skid plates and red front brake callipers. Further, it features the ‘Knight Edition’ engraving on its boot lid which sets it apart from its base variant. It also sports roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, body-coloured ORVMs with LED indicators, black finished side sills and C Pillars. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Speaking of its interiors, the 2022 Hyundai Creta Knight Edition continues with its black theme with red accents inside the cabin as well. The seat upholstery and the dashboard will come in black whereas the AC vents and seat stitching get a red finishing, creating a contrast. The centre console also gets a black finishing. The Knight Edition Creta comes equipped with a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. 

It also features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated and cooled front seats, wireless charging, a large panoramic sunroof and more. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with electronic stability control (ESP), a rear parking camera, hill hold assist and 6 airbags along with ABS and EBD.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta Knight Edition is offered in two variants, a newly introduced S+ and the top-spec Creta SX(O) trim. It is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering 113hp and 144Nm of peak torque. The transmission options offered along with it include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT or CVT automatic gearbox. A 1.5L diesel engine option is also offered which produces a power of 113hp and 250Nm of peak torque, coupled with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmission. 

The Hyundai Creta Knight Edition price in India starts from Rs 13.35 lakhs and goes up to Rs 18.01 lakhs ex-showroom. The prices of the premium SUV vary according to the different transmission options available. The price of its manual variants ranges from Rs 13.35 to 14.31 lakhs whereas that of its automatic variants ranges from Rs 17.05 to 18.01 lakhs.
