Matter Aera: Now available on Flipkart

By collaborating with Flipkart, Matter seeks to bring a new level of accessibility to its customers. The company aims to provide an integrated experience across channels including online, mobile, and physical dealerships. Flipkart’s extensive reach and customer insights will help the company in reaching a wider set of potential buyers.

Unveiled last year, Matter Aera looks very close to a naked streetfighter. The motorbike features a bi-functional LED projector headlamp, split LED tail lamps, body-integrated front turn signals, a translucent shroud, and an exposed spinner attached to the motor. The storage space houses built-in lights and a smart mobile charging port.

Powering the Aera is a 5 kW power pack called matterEnergy 1.0. This battery pack has been developed in-house by Matter and uses liquid cooling technology. The super smart BMS on the pack constantly monitors and optimises the system for efficiency, security, and reliability. Multiple sensors at key points on the battery pack help in gauging essential parameters like temperature, current, and voltage.

The 10.5 kWh electric motor on Matter Aera can produce a peak torque of 520Nm. The motorbike is equipped with three riding modes. The Aera comes with a standard 1kW charger but has support for fast charging as well. The 1kW charger can fully juice up the bike in under 5 hours. Matter Aera offers a driving range of 125km on a full charge.

Mohal Lalbhai, Founder and Group CEO of Matter, said – “Matter aspires to make electric vehicles accessible across demographics and regions. In the era of smartphones and the internet, Ecommerce provides uniform reach across the stratum, and this is where our collaboration with Flipkart will extend the reach to broader audience helping them to access and adopt the new age mobility and sustainable technology that is set to create a better future leading into the 22nd Century.”
