Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift launched at Rs 7.40 lakh

The facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has gone on sale in India at a starting introductory price of Rs 7.40 lakh. The introductory prices will be valid for a limited period of time. There are 4 trim levels on offer – LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The SUV gets cosmetic tweaks, feature updates, and one new engine option. Yesterday, it received a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat NCAP after numerous rounds of crash tests.

2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift: Everything you need to know

The Brezza facelift stands at dimensions of 3,995mm x 1,790mm x 1,685mm and has a 2,500mm wheelbase. The facelift follows the broad design language of the outgoing model, while making some cosmetic tweaks. These include a new grille with a chrome panel, a reworked bumper with chrome elements, and new triangular housings for the fog lamps. The only difference along the sides is a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear section of the SUV remains largely unchanged.

The new turbo-petrol model gets exclusive ‘Turbo’ badging on the tailgate. There are ‘Turbo Boosterjet’ stickers on the quarter glass at the back. The wheel arches, faux skid plate, and grille receive special red accents. The facelift model gets dual-tone colour options along with 2 new paint schemes – Lustrous Beige and Vivacious Orange.

Inside, the silver trims have been replaced with glossy black trims. The dual-tone black-and-brown colour theme has been carried forward from the outgoing model. The upholstery has been updated, and the HVAC controls have received physical switches, similar to the ones on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris. In terms of features, the Brezza facelift gets a new 10.1-inch SmartPlay Pro X touchscreen infotainment system. This display supports built-in navigation and Alexa, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include ventilation for front seats, ambient lighting, an air purifier, wireless charging, and more.

On the safety front, the compact SUV gets 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program(ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages as standard features. Other features include Blind Spot Warning with Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Parking Sensors, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Emergency Stop Signal, Safe Exit Warning, and more.

There is one big upgrade under the hood. The Brezza facelift has expanded its powertrain options with the inclusion of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx’s 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine into its lineup. This engine generates a maximum power output of 110hp and 170Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the outgoing model has been retained on the facelift. It continues to pump out 103hp and 139Nm. This engine can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The CNG variant based on this engine now comes with an underbody kit, which frees up boot space. It puts out 88hp and 121.5Nm, and can only be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Final Thoughts

Maruti will announce the prices of the remaining variants soon. Buyers can book their model for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The Brezza facelift continues to rival the Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Syros, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and Tata Nexon in India.
