Mahindra Scorpio N facelift spotted undisguised, launch imminent

The updated version of the Mahindra Scorpio N has been spotted testing in India multiple times this year. The newly emerged spy shots reveal the SUV in its undisguised avatar. Mahindra could launch the refreshed version of the Scorpio N at its annual Independence Day event next month. The facelift model gets some cosmetic tweaks and feature additions.

Mahindra Scorpio N facelift: What to expect?

The newly surfaced spy shots of the 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N reveal its exterior without any cover or camouflage. The front fascia of the facelift looks identical to the current model. The grille, headlamps, and fog lamps have been carried forward without any changes. Along the sides, the SUV gets a new design for its alloy wheels. The rear section has not been updated either. The tail lamps, rear bumper, and other elements have been retained from the current version of the SUV.

The big changes come inside the SUV. While the cabin still has a dual-tone brown-and-black colour theme, the dashboard has been updated with a 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. This display has been sourced from the Mahindra Thar Roxx. Another 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster accompanies the infotainment display. There is support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on board. The facelift model will come with features like ventilated seating, powered tailgate, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, rear AC vents, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

The Level 2 ADAS suite on the current Scorpio N comprises functions like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go, Smart Pilot Assist (SPA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), High Beam Assist (HBA), Speed Limit Assist (SLA), and Front Vehicle Start Alert (FVSA).

No changes are expected under the hood of the Scorpio N facelift. The SUV will continue to offer 2 engine options. The 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 203hp and 370Nm of torque. It can be linked to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 132hp and 300Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

Final Thoughts

Prices for the current version of the Mahindra Scorpio N start at Rs 13.49 lakh and go up to Rs 24.95 lakh. Due to the minimal changes, it doesn’t seem likely that the facelift model will demand any premium. Upon launch, it will continue to rival the  Tata Safari, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
