2026 Toyota Hilux launched in India at a starting price of Rs 31.99 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has updated its only pickup truck offering in the Indian market. Prices for the 2026 Toyota Hilux start at Rs 31.99 lakh and go up to Rs 36.69 lakh. There are 3 variants on offer – GX 4×2 AT, GX 4×4 AT, and VX 4×4 AT. The automaker has started accepting bookings for the new model. Its delivery rollout will commence in the second week of August.

2026 Toyota Hilux: Everything you need to know

Here is the price list of the new Toyota Hilux.

The new Hilux gets exciting changes to its front fascia. Its grille has a honeycomb pattern and is flanked on either side by bold air intake units. The bumper houses a silver skid plate and two fog lamps. The ‘TOYOTA’ lettering is studded to a black trim just above the grille. On either side of this trim lie sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs.

Along the sides, the Toyota Hilux gets thick cladding on its wheel arches, a prominent footboard, and a new design for the 17-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the vertically stacked LED tail lamps have C-shaped DRLs. The tailgate also has ‘TOYOTA’ lettering. There are a total of 6 paint shades on offer: Super White, Platinum Pearl White, Attitude Black, Emotional Red, Sulphur Metallic, and Ash.

Inside, the new Toyota Hilux packs a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. There’s wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on board. Other features include tilt and telescopic steering, 60:40 split rear seats, smart entry, push start/stop, park assist, power steering, wireless charging, cruise control, rear armrest, and PM2.5 air filtration. There are 3 drive modes on offer: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

On the safety front, the pickup truck packs 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA), Emergency Brake Signal, ISOFIX child restraint anchorages, front seatbelts with force limiters, a panoramic view monitor, and front and rear parking sensors.

The 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine has been retained on the 2026 Hilux. It generates a maximum power output of 204hp and 500Nm of torque. Toyota has discontinued the manual gearbox option for this offering. The diesel engine can only be mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. A 4×2, Rear Wheel Drive system has been introduced on the entry-level GX trim.

Final Thoughts

As mentioned earlier, Toyota has started accepting bookings for the 2026 Hilux. The pickup truck will start reaching customers from the second week of August. It continues to rival the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India.
