Kia Seltos gets two new ADAS variants

Kia India has added two new variants to the Kia Seltos facelift lineup in a bid to reduce the waiting period for the SUV. The GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants come with an ADAS package and are priced at Rs 19.39 lakh and Rs 19.59 lakh respectively. The two new variants have an estimated waiting period of 2 months.

Kia Seltos facelift: Two new variants added

The GTS+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants of the Seltos get glossy black 18-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV gets a 10.25-inch twin-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets a 6-speaker system, a Level 2 ADAS package, an electronic parking brake, and a reverse camera. Since the supply chain constraints around the 360-degree camera and the Bose speaker system are causing a hold-up in deliveries, the two new variants will ship without these features in order to cut down the waiting period.

The two new variants of the Kia Seltos SUV retain the same powertrain options as the rest of the lineup. The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 144Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm. The petrol can be paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. The diesel engine gets the option of a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Kia India has amassed over 50,000 bookings for the new Seltos facelift since its launch in the country. The top-spec variants of the SUV currently have a waiting period of up to four months. The two new variants will help the automaker in cutting down this waiting period to two months. Buyers who want a black finish on the roof will have to pay Rs 20,000 extra for either variant.
