Hyundai Alcazar: Hyundai’s finest in the premium SUV segment

Hyundai has sold a total of 75,506 units of the Alcazar in India since its launch in June 2021. An additional 27,176 units of the SUV have been exported overseas, taking the total sales number to 1,02,682. Hyundoi’s manufacturing plant in Chenna has produced a total of 1,03,243 units of the Alcazar to date.

Hyundai Alcazar is offered in two powertrain options – a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former produces a maximum power output of 160hp and 253Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The 1.5-litre diesel engine on the Alcazar puts out 113hp and 250Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed torque converter gearbox.

There are four variants of Alcazar on offer – Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O), and Signature (O). The lower variants come with a seven-seat layout and with the option of a manual transmission only. The two higher variants get a six-seat layout and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.

The facelifted model of the Hyundai Alcazar will retain the powertrain of the current version of the SUV. In terms of cosmetic design, the SUV will take inspiration from the Creta facelift which was launched earlier this year. However, its LED headlamps, DRLs, grille, and alloy wheels will be different from its midsize counterpart.
