Earlier this month, Maruti Suzuki announced discounts for multiple cars in its Nexa lineup. Premium Maruti offerings like the Grand Vitara, Jimny, Fronx, Baleno, and more received discounts of up to Rs 74,000 for the month of June. The automaker has now increased the discounts on Maruti Suzuki Jimny to Rs 1.50 lakh. The lifestyle SUV was previously available with offers worth up to Rs 50,000.

Since its launch in June 2023, Maruti Suzuki Jimny has not performed as well as its direct competitor, Mahindra Thar. The latter enjoys a lot of popularity in the Indian market and holds a dominating market share in the lifestyle SUV segment. In a bid to boost the sales of the Jimny, Maruti has offered lucrative discounts on the SUV in the past. Last year, the Jimny got a year-end discount of up to Rs 2 lakh on its MY2023 units.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny routinely receives monthly discounts from the automaker. These discounts fall in the range of Rs 50,000 – Rs 1 lakh. Earlier this month, the SUV was offered with discounts of up to Rs 50,000 along with other cars in the Nexa lineup. Expanding the discounts to Rs 1.50 lakh for the rest of the month will give the SUV a boost in sales.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is the K15B petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of 102hp and 130Nm peak torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. It also receives Suzuki’s All Grip Pro AWD with low-range transfer gear (4L mode). Maruti Suzuki Jimny offers a mileage of 16.94kmpl on the manual variants and 16.39kmpl on the automatic variants.

These discounts will expire at the end of June. Discounts may vary depending on the variant and the region. The corporate discounts on offer are available for Maruti’s approved list of corporates and public sector undertakings. Maruti Suzuki is also offering discounts on its Arena lineup this month.
