Citroen C3 Aircross fuel efficiency numbers revealed

After making its global debut in India back in April, Citroen C3 Aircross is all set to launch in the coming months. The automaker will open bookings for the midsize SUV in September with the delivery rollout scheduled for the following month. Citroen has also revealed the fuel economy numbers for C3 Aircross.

Citroen C3 Aircross: Here’s what you need to know

Citroen C3 Aircross is underpinned by the CMP modular platform, which is also found in the C3 hatchback. The SUV stands at dimensions of 4,323mm x 1,796mm x 1,669mm with a wheelbase of 2,671mm. C3 Aircross clears the ground at 200mm. With the third-row seating removed, the SUV has a boot capacity of 511 litres.

Inside, the Citroen C3 Aircross gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. The SUV comes with 5-seat and 7-seat configuration options. AC vents have been made available for the third row in the 7-seat version of the SUV. The 5-seat C3 Aircross has a boot capacity of 444 litres.

Citroen C3 Aircross retains the hatchback’s powertrain as well. This 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces a maximum power output of 110hp and 190Nm peak torque on Citroen C3. Manual and automatic transmission options will also be made available for the SUV. Citroen C3 Aircross offers a mileage of 18.5kmpl. The automaker may also introduce an all-electric version of the C3 Aircross later this year.

Conclusion

Citroen’s debut midsize SUV in India is available in four mono-tone and six dual-tone colour options. The automaker is also planning on expanding its dealer network in India. Upon launch, Citroen C3 Aircross will rival Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
