Toyota Kirloskar India has launched the new Camry in India at Rs 48 lakh. The hybrid sedan was launched globally last year. The new Toyota Camry demands a premium of Rs 1.83 lakh over the outgoing model. The 9th-generation sedan is open for bookings, with Toyota rolling out the deliveries right away.

Toyota Camry: Everything you need to know
The new Toyota Camry is underpinned by the automaker’s TNGA-K platform. The front fascia of the sedan receives Toyota’s signature ‘Hammerhead’ design. This constitutes a low nose and sleek LED headlamps integrated with LED DRLs. The sedan gets a new sporty design for its 18-inch alloy wheels. A pronounced character line runs across the car’s profile. At the back, the Camry flaunts new C-shaped LED tail lamps. The overall look of the hybrid sedan is aggressively sporty.
Inside, the new Toyota Camry gets twin 12.3-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is a 10-inch head-up display for the driver. Other features include a 9-speaker JBL sound system, a 3-zone climate control system, a rear armrest with touch controls, ventilated front seats, a moonroof, 10-way powered front seats, wireless charging, and more. The sedan is also equipped with Toyota’s ADAS package – Safety Sense 3.0.
Powering the new Toyota Camry is a 2.5-litre petrol engine. This engine is linked to Toyota’s 5th-gen Hybrid System. This engine configuration generates a combined power output of 230hp. This is an improvement of 12hp over the outgoing model. The engine is linked to an eCVT gearbox. The sedan offers a mileage of 25.49 kmpl. There are drive modes on offer – Sport, Eco, and Normal.

The new Toyota Camry is available in 6 colour options – Platinum White Pearl, Emotional Red, Precious Metal, Cement Grey, Attitude Black, and Dark Blue. The automaker is offering an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty on the sedan’s battery pack. The Camry rivals Skoda Superb, BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine, Audi A4, and Mercedes C-Class in India.
