Tata Harrier facelift to be launched by mid-2023, Safari facelift by year-end

2023 is shaping up to be a year full of releases for Tata Motors. The automaker is expected to roll out the facelifted versions of Tata Harrier and Tata Safari next year. While the Harrier facelift is expected to launch by June 2023, Safari’s launch will be delayed by a few months. Tata will also be unveiling the Punch EV at AutoExpo next month.

Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts: What to expect?

The Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts are set to get a new ADAS package with features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot reduction, front collision warning, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and more. The Harrier was recently spotted with a 360-degree camera, and the Safari is expected to get it as well.

Inside, both SUVs will receive a larger touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). It is yet to be revealed if Tata will change the dashboard layout and bring in a new colour scheme for the interiors. However, no radical changes are expected when it comes to overall interior design.

Talking about the exterior design profile, the Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts will both get a newly designed front grille along with updated LED headlamps. The alloy wheels and tail lamps are also expected to receive some design tweaks. Dimensionally, both SUVs will remain unchanged.

Under the hood, Tata will retain the same engine unit for both SUVs. The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power output of 170hp and 350Nm peak torque. Buyers can opt for a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Conclusion

As mentioned earlier, the Tata Harrier facelift will be launched first. Tata Motors is planning a mid-2023 release for Harrier and a year-end release for Safari. Currently, the Harrier is priced from Rs 14.80 lakh to Rs 22.35 lakh while prices for Tata Safari start at Rs 15.45 lakh and go all the way up to Rs 23.76 lakh. The facelifts of both SUVs will be priced marginally higher than the outgoing models.
