Skoda Kylaq introductory offer extended till April 30

Skoda India has extended the introductory price offer for the Kylaq SUV till the end of April. The Skoda Kylaq was launched in November 2024 at an introductory price of Rs 7.89 lakh. The SUV will be priced at Rs 7.89 lakh till April 30. Skoda garnered 10,000 bookings for the Kylaq within 10 days of its launch. It sold out the base trim of the SUV in this process. The bookings were reopened in January.

Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine. This engine generates a maximum power output of 115hp and 178Nm of torque. It can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The automatic gearbox is not available on the entry-level Classic variant. The SUV can go from 0 to 100 kph in just 10.5 seconds. Its top speed is capped at 188kmph.

The Kylaq SUV stands at dimensions of 3,995mm x 1,783mm x 1,619mm and has a 2,566mm wheelbase. Its design is inspired by Skoda’s ‘Modern Solid’ philosophy. Its front fascia features a shiny black grille with 3D ribs. This is in sharp contrast to the signature radiator grille found on other Skoda SUVs. The new grille is flanked on either side by split LED headlamps and sleek LED DRLs. The tail lamps at the back are connected by a black trim with Skoda badging.

In terms of features, the Skoda Kylaq gets a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment runs Skoda’s new proprietary OS. Other features include six-way electric seats with ventilation, cruise control, steering-mounted paddle shifters, an electric sunroof, and more. The SUV was awarded 5 stars by Bharat NCAP for its safety features.

Final Thoughts

Skoda plans on delivering 33,000 units of the Kylaq by May. Buyers who book their model now will have to wait until the next delivery rollout phase to drive home the SUV. The Skoda Kylaq rivals Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet in India.
