Porsche Taycan was unveiled globally back in February 2024. In India, the luxury sportscar is available in two trims – 4S and Turbo. The Taycan Turbo is priced at Rs 1.89 crore in India while the Tubro trims fetches Rs 2.53 crore. Porsche is yet to reveal the prices for the subsequent variants of the two trims – Taycan RWD, Turbo S, and Turbo GT).

Porsche Taycan facelift: What’s new?
The facelifted model of the Porsche Taycan retains the iconic look of the sportscar, making some minor tweaks to the cosmetic design. The design for the LED headlamps and tail lamps has been revised. The new headlights feature high-resolution HD matrix technology with detailed optics and display the brand’s characteristic four-point graphics at night. The Porsche logo at the back has a 3D, glass-look design. This logo is illuminated and features welcome/leaving animations.
Inside, the Porsche Taycan facelift gets an updated OS for the touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and passenger display. The mode switch on the steering wheel is now a standard feature. Taycan models with Sport Chrono package and Performance Battery Plus get a special push-to-pass button on the mode switch. Other features include four-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, a head-up display, and more. Porsche has also introduced two new upholstery options for the Taycan.
The Porsche Taycan facelift gets some important mechanical upgrades as well. The rear-mounted motor can produce an additional 109hp. The 4S dual-motor variant of the Taycan produces a maximum power output of 517hp and 695Nm of torque. The Turbo variant puts out 707hp and 890Nm. The Turbo variant features a 105kWh battery pack while the 4S variant is equipped with an 89kWh unit. The former delivers a driving range of up to 678km while the 4S variant can go up to 590km on a full charge.

Conclusion
Both variants of the Porsche Taycan come with an 11kW AC charger. The two variants also have an ‘Overboost’ function, which can further push their power output. In India, the Porsche Taycan rivals the likes of Jaguar I-Pace, BMW i5, and Audi e-tron GT.
